Pampers Neonatal press release

In June 2025, Pampers launched the Neonatal Skin Fundamentals Course at the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses 2025 Convention, which took place in Orlando, USA. The course was developed by leading skin experts, the Academy of Neonatal Nursing, and Pampers Professional, and delivered using video created by D5 Design.

D5 Design used a blend of advanced technologies to make the content engaging and accessible, including creating an AI host to introduce and explain each lesson, 3D model viewers to bring skin anatomy to life, and a custom-built 360° skin environment – combining to deliver complex information as memorable, easy-to-understand experiences.

“We are back from AWHONN and wanted to let you know that the ‘sizzle’ video and skin course overall were a huge hit!

We got the information in front of about 900 nurses, mostly mother-baby and post-partum nurses, and some NICU focused. We used the video at the first station which was dedicated to informing attendees of the Pampers professional website, the Learning Institute, and free continuing education opportunities we offer… [including] our latest and greatest offering, the neonatal skin course!

Thanks for your quick work to get the video prepared for us in time to leverage at the conference.” Laura J Goodman, Principal Scientist, Director of Scientific Communications, P & G NA Baby Care.

Through the course, nurses get to meet and learn from expert Dr Marty Visscher, Professor of Surgery and director of the skin sciences program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical centre. And interactive knowledge checks help them see how much they have learnt.

Nurses are already saying they love the experience: “Thank you for staying current and thinking of new ways to engage us all."

Integrated into the Academy of Neonatal Nursing Continuing Professional Development Online Training Platform, this course has been designed around the busy lifestyle of neonatal nurse practitioners. It can be accessed using a smartphone or tablet, and only takes an hour to complete, either in one go or over multiple short sessions.
